The personal ‘back story’….
Terrence's journey is not just a narrative of challenges but also a testament to resilience and transformation. Despite facing profound adversities like childhood abuse, addiction, and mental health struggles, he embarked on a quest for inner peace and understanding.
His encounter with Sailor Bob Adamson, who had himself delved into the teachings of Nisargadatta Maharaj, marked a pivotal moment. It's where the seeds of non-duality took root in Terrence's life, offering a path beyond the limitations of the "me" story and the illusion of separation.
Through his experiences and learnings, Terrence not only gained insights into the nature of suffering but also discovered a profound sense of interconnectedness and wholeness. His journey serves as an inspiring example of how facing adversity can lead to profound inner growth and spiritual awakening.
Terrence integrates non-duality teachings into his work as a holistic counselor, guiding individuals towards readiness for the non-dual understanding. Through compassionate listening, insightful inquiry, and tailored tools, he assists people in cultivating the clarity, presence, and openness necessary to embrace the non-dual perspective fully.
Although Terrence gained an intellectual understanding of non-duality from his teacher it wasn’t until many years later that his sense of personal self finally collapsed.
It was in this state of collapse that Terrence’s true non-dual nature was revealed, awakened to the fictitious personal dream character.
Since then Terrence has been taking people beyond the need for further help, with non-dual pointers delivered with compassion, warmth and a wicked sense of humour!
